Today we worked on the "Beehives" task attached below. I saw some truly inspiring group work on this problem, with at least 4 correct solution strategies. I look forward to seeing some of these incredible solutions in the larger report.
Possible extensions:
-How many bees do there have to be if there are 5,6,7, or N hives?
-Look up "Gauss Formula". How is this formula connected to the beehive problem?
-Once you come up with a formula, can you explain what each part of the formula means?
-Can you come up with the correct answer a different way?
